Tyler Banks

Tyler Banks is the creator of Impulse Performance, a results-driven training system focused on building velocity, eliminating arm pain, and improving in-game performance. His model is built on an individualized base of training, centered on identifying inefficiencies in how athletes move and throw, then systematically refining movement patterns to create more efficient and powerful throwers.

Tyler currently serves as an assistant pitching coach at Concordia University Chicago and is the Director of Pitching for Pack Baseball. He has worked with athletes from the youth to professional level, helping multiple players reach 90 MPH and advance to play college baseball.

He began his collegiate career at North Park University, recording 11 wins, 2 saves, and 149 strikeouts while also developing his coaching foundation by writing the team’s lifting programs and individualized throwing plans. He later transferred to Butler University, where he led the team in innings pitched, ranked second in strikeouts, and earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll honors. Following his collegiate career, Tyler went on to pitch professionally with the Westside Woolly Mammoths in the United Shore Professional Baseball League.
